Background
Fishery in Pakistan has been an age old tradition and means of livelihood. By virtue of its location, Pakistan has a coastline
of about 1,365km spread out between far ends of eastern coast of Sindh to the furthest western shores of Balochistan.
It is estimated that over 25,000 fishing boats engaged in the industry that bring in fresh catch each evening of various
species. It is also estimated that around a million people are engaged in the fishing industry directly and in its ancillary
units. It is estimated that Pakistan exports 150,000 tons of fishery products worth US $500 million to major
Asia Pacific, Middle Eastern, European and American markets.
Mehran Sea Foods is one of the pioneer companies to have adapted to new trade obligations and has ISO 9001, ISO 22000, HACCP, HALAL, GACC and US FDA certifications.
The company strongly follows local labor laws, hygiene protocols and processing procedures making its products safe and healthy.
About The Company
Since its inception in 1992, Mehran Sea Foods has been a family owned and operated Seafood Processing and Export Company. Mehran Sea Foods has continuously progressed towards hygiene protocols, scientific processing, stringent selection procedures and automation. The entire business operation is fragmented into various layers each contributing towards different market needs. To cater to domestic retail market, Mehran Sea Food offer to its customers a wide range of live, fresh and frozen Seafood products. Its exports largely comprise of fresh and frozen Fish fillets, whole / Gutted Fish, Shrimps, Squid, Cuttle fish, Shells, Clams and Lobsters. We also export live lobsters, live Mud Crab and live Shells. In line with its ethos of contributing to national exchequer and developing the fishery, the management rolled out a new division “Mehran Cold Storage”. The facility not only provides space for its own production but also lease out cold storage space to discerning business units.

Since the inception of the company we have firmly believed in delivering best quality sea food to our customers. This has over the time led to acquisition of high tech machines and the technology for grading, processing and packing. I firmly believe the success Mehran Sea Foods has received over the past several years is largely based on our key principle to provide the premium quality and healthy sea food. I also do believe this would have never been possible without incessant hard work of the entire team of Mehran Sea Foods. From the moment vessels arrive with the harvest, to the time the finish products are shipped to customers; local and off shore we confirm that freshness of the meat is maintained at all levels. The company has big plans to help the industry move forward and create benchmarks in scientific standards in sea food processing and packaging. In its pursuit Mehran Sea Foods has now ventured into a more diversified field of providing cold storage facility to allied industry.
